Sandhya Shah received an award from the Mumbai Mahanagar Palika (Mumbai Municipal Corporation), on International Women's Day, 2009, for her special achievements in the field of education. Sandhya attended UAHuntsville in 2007 as a fellow in the Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program, sponsored by the International Research and Exchanges Board and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. Congratulations, Sandhya!
Olena Bushtruk (pictured, right) from Ukraine participated in the contest "Teacher of the Year" (nomination for "English language"), and placed first in the Schorsky district. In January, 2009, she went to the regional contest and was selected to be one of the five best teachers from 22 districts. Congratulations, Olena! Djamila Ahmedjanova graduated from UAHuntsville in 2008 with a BS in Finance. She has been granted a position as Teller at Wachovia Bank. Congrats, Jam! |
