The University of Alabama in Huntsville hosted two sessions of the Eurasia/South Asia Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA) in 2007. Session I (July 12 – August 23, 2007) included 22 teachers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Bangladesh. Session II (September 20 – November 1, 2007) included 22 teachers from Ukraine and India. In addition, UAH hosted the end of program conference (November 2 – 4, 2007) for all 100 educators participating in TEA programs across the United States. TEA is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and IREX, the International Research and Exchanges Board.
