As a result of the success of previous international internship programs conducted by the OIPS, UAH has an extensive list of over 60 experienced friendship families that are eager to meet you and your fellow students. UAH will arrange for you to associate with these families on weekend visits and in various activities, and you will experience a wide range of cultural and ethnic diversity. In addition, community mentors will provide opportunities for you to join occasionally other Americans in lighter moments of relaxation at dinner, the movies, or other venues, as well as sports activities at the new UAH Fitness Center. Various UAH campus organizations, such as the Chinese Scholars & Students Association (CSSA) will provide opportunities for you to associate with other American and international students.
